Christopher Niess

Christopher is on professional development leave from the UCF School of Performing Arts, where, as an associate professor, he teaches acting and stage movement. He co-directed The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby
with Jim Helsinger last season, and was last seen in King Lear at Orlando Shakes. He has appeared in a variety performing arts venues including with the Cleveland Playhouse, Porthouse Theatre, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Albany-Berkshire Ballet, and Lexington Ballet. He has also served as Artistic Director for the Great Lakes Festival Ballet and Ballet Theatre Ohio, and is a past Chair/Artistic Director of the UCF Department of Theatre.
