Black Excellence Night at Orlando Shakes
Wednesday, October 18th
7:30 p.m. performance of “Boulevard of Bold Dreams” immediately followed by post-show gathering and discussion
Join us for Black Excellence Night, a night for the Black community to come together and celebrate their excellence. This Affinity Night is for the purpose of bringing together Black-identifying people and provide a safe and welcoming space for community and open dialogue.
While this event is intended to center the Black community, all are welcome to attend the performance. Additionally, we will be hosting a post-show gathering to highlight the perspectives of members of the Black community, discuss ideas relevant to and the shared experiences of the Black community, and have dialogue about “Boulevard of Bold Dreams” and its applicability to the Black community’s present-day experiences. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Tickets for this night are $15 for all who wish to attend. However, we ask that if you do not identify as part of the Black community, that, in addition to this reduced ticket price, you please consider donating to our Black Artistry Fund in support of this night and future Black excellence.
