Registration for Summer 2012 begins February 21.

Lunch Bunch is an optional, pay-per-use program for campers Age 4 to Grade 2. During these extended day sessions for camps ending at 12 p.m., children eat the lunch they've brought from home, clean up, and have unstructured play, crafts, stories, and songs. The Lunch Bunch fee is $10 per day. Each Lunch Bunch session is from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Creative Arts Camps

In each of our camps, students will focus on two complimentary skills that make up the wide and varied world of Theater Arts. Taught by theater professionals, these camps are designed to ignite the imagination and inspire creativity while teaching life skills.

Will's Worlds: Age 4 - Rising Grade 2

• Dates: June 11 - 15
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

  Using musical instruments and costume pieces, campers get hands-on experience acting out Shakespeare's stories through movement and creative play. [register now]

Puppet Play!: Age 4 - Rising Grade 2

• Dates: July 2 - 6
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Tuition: $180
  Using the puppets made in class, campers tell stories with words, notes, and rhythms. [register now]

Magical Shakespeare: Rising Grades 2 - 5

• Dates: July 2 - 6
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Tuition: $225
  Students learn basic magic tricks while exploring scenes from Shakespeare's most magical plays, such as As You Like It and Macbeth. [register now]

Musical Adventures: Age 4 - Rising Grade 2

• Dates: July 16 - 20
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

  Campers use music, movement, and imaginative play to create their own exciting adventures. [register now]

Zombie Shakespeare: Rising Grades 9 - 12

• Dates: July 23 - 27
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Tuition: $330
  Campers speak the words of Shakespeare's ghosts and goblins while creating their own fake scars, bruises, and blood. Tuition includes special effects make-up kit. [register now]

Playing With Heart: Middle and High School Students

• Dates: July 30 - Aug. 3
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Tuition: $155
  This program is a collaboration between UCP of Central Florida, the Exceptional Education Department of UCF, and Orlando Shakespeare Theater to allow students with and without special needs to work together. All students participate in daily voice, movement, and warm-up activities before rehearsing together. The program culminates in a showcase of scenes.

Lights, Camera, ACTION!: Rising Grades 6 - 8

• Dates: Aug. 6 - 10
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Shakespeare SmackDown!: Rising Grades 2 - 5

• Dates: Aug. 6 - 10
• Time: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  Campers explore some of Shakespeare's most famous fight scenes, learning the basics of hand-to-hand stage combat, safely throwing punches and slaps that wow the audience! [register now]

Folksongs and Fairytales: Age 4 - Rising Grade 2

Production Camps

The Young Company: Rising Grades 9 - College Freshmen

• Dates: June 11 - July 8
• Time: Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

• Play: Twelfth Night
• Auditions: Saturday, April 21, 12 - 6 p.m. by appointment
• Performances: July 6 & 7 at 7 p.m. and July 8 at 2 p.m.
  The Young Company (TYC) is a diverse group of high school students from Central Florida who receive voice, movement and character training while working on a fully produced play (i.e. professional costumes, lights, set, and sound designs). TYC strives to provide talented young artists a nurturing environment where positive self-expression is encouraged through active involvement in the exploration of classical drama.
