Roberta Emerson

Roberta Emerson is the Director of New Play Development here at Orlando Shakes. She is a Director, Actor, Producer, and teacher. Roberta is a graduate of both the University of Minnesota with a BFA in Acting and Theatre Management and New York University with a MFA in Acting. She has worked as an actor and director in many regional theaters around the country, has done extensive voice over, commercial, and film work, and has been a teaching artist both in the US and Europe. Some favorite recent acting credits include Deborah in Deborah (The Studio Tierra Del Sol), Zoe in The Niceties (The Ensemble Co.) Ocatavia in Antony and Cleopatra (Orlando Shakes), Lady Macduff in Macbeth (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival) and Mrs. Muller in Doubt (Thank You Five).
