Michael was recently canned as the Artistic Director of the NSC (Negligent Shakespeare Company) in Hackensack,NJ, where he directed, produced, and starred in bold re-workings of the Bard’s work, such as Mikado About Nothing, Two Gentlemen with Carcinoma, Love’s Labor Union’s Lost, and the co-production with the Irish Repertory Theater The Merchant of Guinness. In the 1990s, Michael developed a groundbreaking children’s theater program in Chicago called Blankity-Blank: David Mamet for Kids! Favorite regional theatre roles include Lurking Dude in David Hare’s Get Off My Corn, Big Chris in A View From The Bridgegate, Fr. Stoppit in The Magic Touch, and Clem in Mr. Wackjob (with Jared Leto). In January, Michael will be appearing at least once as a high-wire acrobat in the latest thrilling Cirque du Soleil production, THUD.
