A Tuna Christmas

November 30 - December 30, 2011

Written by Ed Howard, Joe Sears and Jaston Williams
Directed by Patrick Flick

Run time: 2 hours 15 minute with an intermission.

Back by popular demand! In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, the outrageously funny and much loved characters of Tuna, Texas are back for Christmas. Local radio personalities, Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie, report that the Christmas festivities are in jeopardy and no nativity scene is safe! Join us for all the laughs as two talented men portray all 24 citizens of Texas' third smallest town, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies.

Content Advisory: A Tuna Christmas includes moderate adult language and some sexual references. It may not be suitable for young children.

Reviews

"A tasty treat...the show is a satire of small-town ways as much as a celebration of them... Shakes has gussied up the show in its funny production, with a beautiful set by Bert Scott...and wonderfully detailed costumes by Kristina Tollefson." – Matt Palm, Orlando Sentinel

"Lainer's approachable innocence and Baldwin's lovable roguishness fit well together, and the show is just risqué enough to justify a baby sitter and an extra glass of wine: it skirts on heartwarming while still remaining real." – Carl F. Gauze, INK19

"Thoroughly enjoyed the play. Impressed with the slick costume changes and ability of the two actors to remember who they were all the time!" – Audience comment

"First time in a play in Orlando, because of A Tuna Christmas, I will come back, thanks!" – Audience comment

"I loved everything about the play. The actors were fantastic with perfect timing. The direction was creative and fun. I have already told many people how terrific the play was and gave the flyer to a friend to purchase tickets." – Audience comment

"BRAVO!!!...to the cast & crew of Tuna Christmas! Enjoyed the show tonight with my daughter. Touching, funny and SO entertaining. Well done!" – Kim M.
