Pre-K to 5th Grade
Orlando Shakespeare Theater is proud to produce a dynamic Children’s Series and inspiring workshops for students. Our Education Department strives to ignite each student's imagination and make your curriculum exciting and accessible for learners at every level.

Grades 6 through 12
Our Educational Programs are designed to empower Middle and High School students by encouraging active listening, critical thinking, collaborative problem solving, and creative initiative through a three-step process. First, use our skill-based Curriculum Guides to supplement your students' introduction to a story or play. Second, enjoy a workshop with our Actor/Educators in your classroom, giving your students hands-on experience with the text. Finally, experience the wonder of a live theatrical performance, which will expand your students' imaginations as we bring the story and characters to life on stage.

Reservations can be made by calling the Box Office at (407) 447-1700 ext. 1.

2nd – 4th Grade
FEE: $155 per class (25 students); $500 for 4 classes

During this interactive workshop, our Actor/Educators encourage your students to act as authors and create story ideas for their own Magic Tree House adventure. Through interactive games and theater exercises, students work in groups to pick a historical central character, time period, and magical object, creating a “snapshot” of story elements using their own bodies as statues. Students are introduced to the theater artist roles of director, stage manager, and actor. Follow-up activities include writing letters to author Mary Pope Osborne explaining their story suggestions and designing book covers based on their ideas.
